Lalese Stamps Artist Panel

MARN and MIAD’s Black Leaders and Artist Coalition (MIAD BLAC) are pleased to host an artist panel with local artist Lalese Stamps of Lolly Lolly Ceramics Saturday, October 15 at 11AM at the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB (191 N Broadway).

This event is free and open to the public.

Masks are recommended, seating is limited.

The event will include a ceramics demonstration and artist talk with Lalese Stamps about how she started and continued through the path of owning a small business. In addition, one of Lalese’s lovely mugs will be raffled off – make sure to stop by for a chance to win a piece of her collection!

MIAD’s Black Leaders and Artists Coaltion (BLAC) is a student-run union open to all, dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for Black MIAD students, and fostering healthy dialogue concerning inclusivity and diversity within the college. The MIAD chapter of the Black Student Union intends to promote and educate on the Black experience in both our college and country. The current student leader is Daisy Bryant (dasiabryant@miad.edu).

Founded in 2017 by Lalese Stamps, Lolly Lolly Ceramics focuses on objects that are functional, unique and handmade to last. In September of 2019, Lalese embarked on a 100 Day Project where she made 100 mugs with 100 different handles for 100 Days, bringing national recognition to the Lolly Lolly name. Today the Lolly team is made up of 4 people and growing. The demand for Lolly Lolly Ceramics is high, but they’re having fun expanding their brand and bringing you new and exciting pieces.
