Upcoming Call For Art – GOOD WOOD

MARN is pleased to announce a Call for Art focused on Milwaukee’s talented craft community. ‘GOOD WOOD’, MARN’s first craft exhibition, will run at the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB from October 27 to November 12, 2023. 

‘GOOD WOOD’ is an immersive craft exhibition dedicated to showcasing the rich tradition of local woodworking and the talents of our community’s skilled artisans. This exhibition aims to highlight the beauty, versatility, and artistry of wood as a medium. Highlighting local artisans and sustainable practices, this event invites visitors to explore the diverse range of woodworking techniques, styles, and narratives that emerge from the hands and hearts of our talented exhibitors

MARN seeks members to submit 5 works completed within the last two years for consideration. 

Applicants must be MARN CREATIVE STUDENT, CREATIVE or CREATIVE BUSINESS Members in good standing before the call closes to qualify. Applicants must reside in the Southeast Wisconsin. Submissions should consist of wood furniture and sculpture made within the last 2 years. Work consists of fully realized works ready for install by October 23, 2023.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11:59PM CDT

SELECTED ARTISTS NOTIFIED by end of day September 15, 2023

This is a juried exhibition. Jury will be announced in the coming weeks.
