Panel Discussion & Closing Reception – Reflecting My Muslim Americanism

MARN is pleased to invite the public to the “Reflecting My Muslim Americanism” exhibition’s Panel Discussion and Closing Reception, Saturday, November 5 at 5:30PM within the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB (191 N. Broadway). 

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is recommended but not required.

Moderated by Fanana Banana co-founders, Amal Azzam and Nayfa Naji, panelists Nada Alzalloum (exhibiting artist), Rida Fatima (exhibiting artist), and Amelia Bader (founder of Art for Change, UW) will discuss the intricacies of the exhibition’s theme, including the perceptions and struggles of the American identity through the Muslim perspective and the ways an identity within an identity can affect or alter mental health, racial equity and inequality, women’s body struggles and political views. 

Following the panel discussion will be a closing reception in celebration of the “Reflecting My Muslim Americnaism” exhibition (running until Nov 6, 2022). Learn more about the exhibition here
