“Practice in Progress” images of the Opening Reception Celebration

MARN was pleased to invite the public to “Practice in Progress” on Friday, April, 14, 5-8pm at the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB.

“Practice in Progress”, is an exhibition celebrating the 32 artists of the 2022-2023 MARNmentorship Program. In its 17th year of the program, 16 mentors and 16 mentees display artworks in a variety of mediums, including sculpture, movement, printmaking, fiber, painting, video, installation, and photo.

At the program’s core belief – potential is not fixed; it can be expanded and developed over time through learning, experimentation, and taking calculated risks. The MARNmentorship program is centered around being in process, ideas taking shape/form, and how an idea comes to be and is then fostered and nurtured and into the development of a lifelong practice.

414 Day also Happened on Friday April, 14th.

414 Day celebrates the unique people, places, and spirit of the city of Milwaukee, established in 1846.
