Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) Announces Relocation for  Strategic Refocus on Mission-Driven Programming

The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) will be relocating from our 191 N.  Broadway location in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward as of June 30, 2025.

A significant portion of our resources has been tied up in managing the café and covering  overhead, diverting us from what matters most: our artists and members

We’ve been fortunate to work closely with our landlord, Joseph Property Development,  throughout this process. Their collaboration and flexibility have been instrumental in helping us  make this transition thoughtfully and with a future-oriented approach.

Joseph Property Development offered, “MARN is an incredible asset to our community and has  been a wonderful partner for many years. We are grateful for their stewardship of this beautiful  space, we are excited for the opportunity that lies ahead for MARN, and we look forward to  working with them in the future as they refocus and recalibrate their mission.”

MARN is re-centering its work around meaningful programming, member support, and long term sustainability. As part of this renewed focus, we are pleased to share that we have received  an anonymous donation from a generous benefactor. This funding will allow us to support  upcoming programming initiatives and hire a part-time Director of Operations to help lead  this critical next phase.

More details about this new position at MARN will be announced soon.

Board Chair Pamela Anderson will remain at the helm during this transition, continuing to lead  overall operations while also focusing on rebuilding and strengthening MARN’s Board of  Directors in the year ahead.

Importantly, MARN is committed to remaining in the Milwaukee Historic Third Ward. We  believe this neighborhood is essential to the city’s creative and cultural identity, and we’re proud  to continue being part of it. Our new temporary location will be announced soon, as we  carefully plan our next steps.

We are especially excited to relaunch MARN’s flagship Mentor + Mentee Program later this  year. We invite Milwaukee’s business community to partner with us—through sponsorships and  employee engagement—to help build a stronger creative ecosystem. Together, we can champion  the arts as essential to economic vitality, mental well-being, and cultural vibrancy in our city.

Thank you for standing with MARN. The best is still ahead.
