A Contemporary Artist on Nature in an Age of Climate Crisis

  • MARN ART + CULTURE HUB 191 North Broadway Milwaukee, WI, 53202 United States (map)

Join us here at the HUB for a film screening and artist talk, ‘A Contemporary Artist on Nature in an Age of Climate Crisis,’ with MARNmentor Alix Anne Shaw on Friday, April 19th at 5 pm!

Towering cliff faces, dense forests, shimmering lilies–we are all familiar with these images of traditional landscape painting. But how do contemporary artists engage with the environment in light of our current climate crisis? Join sculptor and installation artist Alix Anne as she discusses her work in an era of urbanization, environmental destruction, and climate change. All are welcome for this brief film screening and presentation followed by Q&A.

This event is free and open to the public.

Donations are kindly accepted in support of the MARNmentorship Program.
